The CMD adds minimal shadowing.

In a fighting rifle, every single advantage matters.

Performance must be retained in all areas; your weapon light is not excluded from this rule.

  • Protection from lens damage and/or breakage

  • Allows light positioning near the muzzle device

  • Lightweight and highly effective

Why use the CMD?

If the flashlight is in close proximity to the muzzle device, you are subjecting the weaponlight lens to tremendous amounts of pressure, gasses, lead/copper and power residue. This can render your $200+ high performing light useless in a short duration of shooting. If you cannot see what you want to illuminate, you exponentially increasing risk.

After hundreds of 3D prints, dozens of protypes and rigorous testing, the CMD was developed to address these glaring issues.

Why does lens protection matter?

Weapon lights have specifications that drive the characteristics of the light’s effectiveness such as: Lumen Output, Beam Angle, Candela Rating, Beam Distance, etc.  The CMD preserves these qualities, which are essential to maintain the highest performing lighting system possible.

Can’t you just position the light forward of the muzzle device?

Of course you can. Is this the most advantageous approach….. likely not. The positioning of the light forward rather than rearward increases the felt weight by the user, and results in quicker fatigue.
